What a great few weeks we have had at Mayrose cottages, full bookings and such great guests enjoying a relaxed, carefree time around our 18 acres.

The Glamppod has had lots of our own family enjoying evening parties down in it's own field. Camp fire stories and privacy, children and adults playing family games, cooking on camp fire or barbecue, or relaxing with a 'glass' admiring the the indoor garden and views.

The ducks enjoyed it too

We are taking bookings for next year already so we'll look forward to hearing from you all

Free-range Kids

For most urban parents, the idea of allowing your children out into the street to play with their friends is an option that disappeared along with free school milk and the three day week. However at Mayrose Farm free-range kids are the norm. Here you can live the idyll not just of a pretty Cornish hamlet but one of 30 years ago.

While parents relax and enjoy the calm of one of our six pretty stone cottages their children can make friends and play outside the old fashioned way. Remember the joy of knocking for your pals? The sense of liberation as you wandered from house to house to your own timetable? Remember fishing for tadpoles and building a den? All still possible for the free-range kids at Mayrose Farm.

Children of all ages love feeding the ducks and lambs, exploring the farm or having a good old kick-about with jumpers for goalposts. Long-lasting friendships form in the fresh air and children sleep soundly; sun-kissed, wind-blown and content.

Mayrose Farm is aptly named...

Although it's June now I suppose! We have been having fantastic weather and everyone staying here is very sun tanned and happy.

There are still a couple of vacancies for June in the cottages, reduced prices for last minute bookings.

Our duck sitting by the pool has hatched a brood, they had to be removed from the pool rather quickly....not the place to rear the ducklings....
